Elles Roeleveld is the driving force behind Soft Revolt: a sustainable lingerie revolution offering technically advanced, comfortable, wire-free bralettes and lingerie that’s soft on both women and the planet.
In 2020, Elles left her career in finance to launch Soft Revolt. Working in a lingerie boutique gave her valuable insight into what women truly want, and she adapted advanced 3D knitting techniques, originally used in the footwear industry, for lingerie. The result: seamless, wire-free bralettes that offer full support. After no fewer than 47 prototypes, the first model was launched under the name CLEO47.
What began as a search for a comfortable, supportive, wire-free bra for fuller cup sizes has grown into a brand that challenges traditional lingerie.
Soft Revolt’s mission: to design lingerie that women actually want to wear soft, sustainable, beautifully designed, and without compromise.

Our impact has been independently researched and confirmed by tex tracer, an organisation that strives for radical transparency in textiles. Where a traditional underwire bra consists of 40 parts and travels up to 120,000 km, we do things differently: our bras are knitted in one piece without waste, with a CO₂ emission of only 2 kg - comparable to an 8 km car journey.
